Antarctica:
The White Continent

Glide around enormous tabular icebergs by Zodiac, walk along beaches covered with thousands of penguins, and kayak amid abundant wildlife. Antarctica is a land of extremes: it is the coldest and driest continent on Earth and has the highest average elevation. It is also the most Southern, overlying the "South Pole." Scarcely touched by humans, the frozen land boasts breathtaking scenery. Visitors to Antarctica often brave a rough sea crossing aboard ice-strengthened vessels, but those who do are rewarded with amazing scenery and tremendous and unique wildlife.

Antarctica, South Georgia & the Falkland Islands

Revel in an Icelandic wonderland, where days are filled with natural beauty and, with luck, nights will provide a luminous spectacle of color known as the Aurora Borealis. After a brief stay in Reykjavik, escape the bright lights of the city to Iceland’s more remote southern coast. See magnificent geysers, spectacular waterfalls, enormous glaciers, black sand beaches, and active volcanoes. Learn about Iceland’s geothermal energy, and take a rejuvenating dip in a geothermal lagoon. From moss-covered lava fields, to barren highlands and soaring fjords, Iceland’s great diversity of landscape is mesmerizing.

Come face-to-face with a polar bear, widely considered one of the most intriguing and awe-inspiring of all animals. Every fall, the tundra surrounding Churchill, on the west coast of Canada's Hudson Bay, becomes a stopover for more than one thousand bears on their annual migration. From the safety of a tundra vehicles, view these majestic creatures within close range.

Polar Bears & Arctic Wildlife of Churchill, Canada

Delve into the arctic to view wildlife in its natural habitat. Spot and observe polar bears and the other animals of the Arctic ice. Traveling by expedition ship allows flexibility to maximize viewing of polar bears and walrus. On-board naturalists provide sightings and educational content, excursions by kayaks, Zodiac rides, hiking & walking. Sometimes combined with Norway's Fjords or Iceland and Greenland. Please inquire.

 Arctic Svalbard:
Land of the Ice Bears

 Greenland, Baffin
& Ellesmere Island Discovery

Venture to the remote, extreme High Arctic, a region of ancient ice where few humans have traveled. Cruise while viewing polar bears hunt on the sea ice. See walruses swimming or basking on an ice flow, and perhaps herds of giant musk-ox grazing in northern Greenland or Ellesmere Island. It is home to polar bears, muskox, and extremely rare wildlife, including narwhal. The setting midnight sun lights a massive arched iceberg in Greenland.

Spring Floes
in Arctic Canada

The Canadian High Arctic is a place few people have a chance to visit. Here, in the springtime, the sun shines 24 hours a day, wildlife abounds, and the indigenous people, the Inuit, celebrate the return of the Midnight Sun with camping and hunting on the floe-edge. Stay on land near the ice floes, watching the wildlife in serene surroundings.
